Today he is active both as a designer and sculptor and has received many international commissions: Winged Victory (1996) a sculpture the Swatch pavilion during the Olympics in Atlanta as well as Freedom of Speech a sculpture exhibition at the Finnish Embassy in Washington D.C. These works show Lindfors' ability to work in the borderland between art and design. Lindfors received the Vaino Tanner Trailblazer Award in 1992.
