Tiger Moth Flight (20 Minutes)

Tiger Moth Flight (20 Minutes)

Description:Enjoy a rare opportunity to fly in the De Havlland DH82A Tiger Moth. The Tiger was built in 1930 and operated by the Royal Air Force and others as a primary trainer. It remained in service with the RAF until 1950 when many of the surplus aircraft entered civil operation that continues to this day. Before the flight you will undergo briefing on the controls and don your flying jacket and goggles. Once you are strapped into the front cockpit (the pilot will occupy the rear one) the plane's engineer will swing the propeller making the engine roar into action. Fortunately you will not have to shout over the noise since a modern electronic 'intercom' has replaced the original air tubes through which the instructor and student communicated with each other. With its slow take off speed and open cockpit you will enjoy vintage flying at its best! If desired you will be invited to take over the controls of the Tiger Moth and feel for yourself how it was to be RAF trainee pilot decades ago. A Tiger Moth Trial Lesson Flight certificate will be awarded afterwards with photo opportunities for guests. A fantastic vintage flying experience.
