Virtual Soldier Experience
Description:You will use the SA80 style rifle able of firing an invisible beam up to 40 metres thanks to a purpose-built MOD Infra-red training system. Upon hitting an enemy any ammunition remaining in his weapon is deactivated by a sensor hidden inside the helmet. However you do not have to worry about the possibility of spending the entire session as a spectator since all casualties after reporting to the 'Aid post' where re-activation and reloading of the weapon takes place are able to get back into action. Before the session all participants will learn infantry skills from professional military instructors including such issues as Fire and Movement and Camouflage and Concealment. You will take part in various true-life scenarios undertaken throughout the day such as attacking and defending an underground complex and a two storey farmhouse complex where you will clear the buildings room by room. This is not paintball and there is no place for faint hearted all scenarios are enhanced by the use of Battlefield Pyrotechnics! Itinerary: 08:30 or 13:00 - Arrive at Camp Bravo Q.M's stores Issue of kit. 09:00 or 13:30 - Operational briefing and weapons training. 09:30 or 14:00 - Operations Begin. 12:30 or 17:00 - De-kit & leave for home. Clothing/Equipment Requirements : Take the weather into account and you ensure you are warm enough and wear enough layers - they can always be removed! We advise you wear old tracksuit bottoms/ loose fitting trousers sturdy boots/ trainers with ankle support that you don?t mind getting muddy. Food/Drink Included/Available for Purchase : Tea/coffee and a 'hot rat pack lunch' is included. Numbers : The number of participants will vary. Weather : The weather should not affect this experience. However in cases of extreme weather conditions please check with the centre before you leave home. Age : Minimum 18 years. Health : You must be reasonably fit to take part. Upon arrival you will be required to sign a fitness declaration. Spectators Restrictions : Spectators are welcome although the activities will be located off 'base camp' for much of the day.
